Beautiful 1960 Ideal Betsy Wetsy doll -- made only one year in this 16" size, and a larger 23" doll. This is one of the nicest examples of this issue doll I hav ever seen. She comes with TWO original outfits.
 
Betsy is marked appropriately Ideal Toy Corp / BW-17 on the back of her neck; and, Ideal Toy Corp / BW-16 on her back. She is documented on page 213 in the "Collector's Guide to Ideal Dolls' by Judith Izen
 
She .is in MINTY condition -- immaculately clean; and aside from a very pale pink transfer coloring on the bottom of two little toes, she comes with no other marks or discolorations to her blow molded, jointed vinyl body. All joints are firm and move freely.
 
Betsy's face is high color with no rubs or marks; her lovely blue 'pinwheel' eyes open and close perfectly with full and even lashes. She has soft reddish brown curls -- they are full and soft and lovely.
 
Betsy has her original nylon organdy dress with attaches taffeta slip; and, her two-piece pink-and-white romper -- ruffled panties and blouse. Both outfits in crisp, clean condition.
 
She wears a pair of vintage white cotton socks to keep her feet warm... just needs a pair of shoes to complete her wardrobe.
