Very RARE -- AMERICAN CHARACTER HARD PLASTIC Sweet Sue as ALICE in WONDERLAND.
 
This is the hard to find and rare sized 21” doll, dressed as Alice in Wonderland -- all original outfit is near mint condition She has a hard plastic socket head, five-piece jointed body, blue sleep eyes, painted and applied lashes, ruby lips, blonde hair with curly bangs, original blue cotton dress and white dimity pinafore, blue cotton bloomers, blue suede side-snap shoes, and white stockings. She holds a newer white rabbit, whom she inevitably snagged down the Rabbit Hole.
 
Her original 'Alice' costume is in near mint condition with only a separation in the fabric at the back bodice (see photo). Otherwise all else is exceptional... including all elastic in bloomers and dress sleeves is still springy and taut as it should be.
 
Sweet Sue has her original hair style with long golden curls, a flawless face and complexion, and pretty blue eyes with all lashes full, even and present. Her hard plastic body is strung perfectly enabling her to pose and stand freely.
 
This very, very special doll is RARELY found in this condition and a wonderful addition to any 1950s doll collection.
